I debated back and forth with myself about listing this figure for two reasons. One is that I absolutely love it and will miss it should it sell and the other being that it does have damage and I generally don't like to sell flawed items.

That being said, this figure is so special I decided to go ahead and see if anyone else might love it as much as I do. The flaws are on the back side of the figure so as a cabinet piece, the damage does not show. All flaws are described in the condition paragraph below and are shown in our photos. This amazing figure features a young Japanese boy dressed in elaborately decorated clothing holding a dragon's head mask in his outstretched hands.

The dragon has a fierce expression with an open mouth and exposed teeth. The entire figurine features multiple patterns in the clothing and the design is painted in polychrome enamels with elaborate gilding.

The boy's face is painted with natural coloration with delicate features including an open mouth. The figurine is mounted onto a wooden stand.

Measures just under 8" high (not including stand) and 9" high (including stand) with the oval stand measuring about 5 1/2" long and 3 1/4" wide. This figurine does have a few condition problems as mentioned in our listing above. On the boy's left hand the tip of the index finger is missing (barely noticed) and the dragon's right ear has a chip on the top. When viewed straight on, the chip on the dragon's ear does not show. The main problem is not seen from the front but on the backside of the figure.

At the bottom of his garment behind his right leg, it looks like a flat slice of the garment is missing leaving an irregular texture and color in this area. Again, this is not visible when viewing from the front. Please view all photos concerning condition. Even with the hidden flaws, this figurine will display nicely.
