The first three characters are Dai Hi Hon, which is pretty typical of pieces from the Meiji period. We have not identified the maker. The vase dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. There are two small holes near the top of the vase. There may have been another decorative piece in these holes.
There is some waviness on the rim and a couple of tiny holes. There is a spot underneath the rim where a prior sticker was attached that removed some of the patina. The bottom rim has a bend and the vase rocks a little bit. The item "Antique Japanese Meiji period bronze floral vase signed Art Nouveau period" is in sale since Thursday, September 19, 2013.
