This is an antique Japanese dagger (called Tanto) which was made in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912). Handle and scabbard are made of bone (probably from a cattle) and decorated with fine carvings. You can see japanese people with typical clothes for this time. The blade has a good quality, too. Measures: complete 35,5cm; without scabbard: 33,5cm; blade 22,5cm.
Condition: signs of age, two bone parts seems to be missing: on the top of the handle and on the scabbard. Please look at the pictures. Take a look on my other offers.
