This is an outstanding 19th century Japanese Meiji period 4-character Fuki Choshun mark porcelain Imari Bowl or Basin. It measures approximately 8-1/2" in diameter x 3" deep. The underside shows the 4-character Fuki Chosun (Good Fortune and Long Life) mark. The vibrantly enamel decorated bowl is in absolutely beautiful condition with NO chips, NO cracks, NO repairs, and NO restoration.

The gilt accents show minimal rubs. The porcelain bowl has a beautiful prolonged ring sound. The vibrant enamel decorations show crisp detail and dimension.

This would be a wonderful addition to any Japanese Meiji period porcelain collection. It comes from an old collection of very fine quality Asian antique porcelains.
