Japanese Mixed Metal Pair of Knives Birds Motif Meiji Period Circa 1900 Antique Meiji Period - Japanese mixed metal, pair of knives, decorated with mixed metal handles, one ornamented with myriad flying swallow-birds among gold flaked colors, second knife decorated with the bird's catcher and his indo, with two tone striped back design, original intact patina. Silver-plated blades hallmarked for Wright Kay & Co. Second knife's blade not silver plated. Overall very good condition, minimal pin-point dents to the handles, scratches to the blades. Marked: unmarked length each 7 1/3 in.
