This is a Lamp BASE that had a triple light bulb holder with chains hanging from each. It was taken apart because the cord had been cut off due to it's age and wear. Antique around late 1800's.
Some of the gilding has rubbed off near the bottom of the neck but other than that the Gold is just beautiful. This is the living room size as the pottery measures 18 1/2 inches with only measuring the pottery. There is a metal top from the lamp which is stuck on the top and I haven't tried to take it off. With the metal piece on top it is 18 3/4 inches high. NO CRACKS AND NO CHIPS. So much gold it is just everywhere.
This has very Fine intricate paintings and designs on 3 panels. 2 panels of groups of people Geisha girls, one lady holding a baby and a man.
There is a Dragon on the back. Continuous patterns all the way around it. The sides are filled with Flowers and Designs.Superior Quality, Best Satsuma lamp I have ever owned.
