Very collectible elaborate miniature cloisonné koro (censor) jar. Globular brass shape raised on three supports and decorated in colored enamels of flowers and butterflies with circular designs.Many different enamel colors divided by brass wires; it even glitters. Lappet panels with a median black enamel band. The inside of the pot is enameled. The lid is elaborate with a brass chrysanthemum finial. The enamel has a nice smooth feel. From the Meiji Period circa 1900. MEASUREMENTS : 3 ½ diameter x 3 ½ tall. CONDITION : The condition is good for the age. There are two chips out of the black enamel on the middle band and a small enamel loss near the mouth. A wonderful Japanese miniature for your collection.
