The teapot lid is very elaborate with a brass chrysanthemum finial. The lid underside is enameled in blue.The enamels have a nice feel. From the Meiji Period circa 1900.
MEASUREMENTS : 3 ¼ diameter x 2 ¼ tall. 5 ¼ long from tip of spout to tip of handle.
CONDITION : The condition is very good for the age. There is a small loss on the basal footing and a small enamel loss on a green spot near the top of the pot. The pot is still color and near perfect after all of the years. A wonderful labor intensive work of art that will add to your teapot collection.
