Antique Japanese Satsuma Two Vase Set. Decorated on a cream-colored crackle glaze ground in polychrome enamel and gilt highlights with an image of a sprawling Japanese Pagoda in a lush forest in a mountainous landscape.

With a rushing river feeding a lake with boats and people in the foreground. In the background depicts a snow topped Mt. Fuji and a waterfall, its water crashing down creating a thick blanket of mist. The image on each vase are of a mirror version of each other for a left and right display option.

A rust-red band with abstract flower decoration adorn the top of the shoulder and base of the vase's. Hallmarked on the bottom of each piece, the two gold color Kanji symbols are on a rust red rectangle banner is typically associated with Japan Artist Gyokuzan. Measures 10 inches tall, both are in very good condition; both have some rubbing to the gilt on the mouth, there are No cracks, No breaks or chips, No evidence of repair.
