Rare and very fine pair of bronze vases from Japan of the Meiji period. They are made in two different colours of copper and inlays of silver as well as in gold metall and red takazogan. Depicted are pigeons in flight and perched on a branch of a blossoming sakura or plum tree. Mark on the bottom: Nogawa and signed on the body by the artist.

The vases stand 15 cm high and are very heavy for their size. Very good condition in museum quality (no rubbings to the surface, no losses, no scratches, nothing at all).

The stands are not included. Measurements are 15 cm in Height, 5 cm at its widest point and has a weight of 510 g.
