Antique Japanese BRONZE Figure Statue Peasant Man Art Asian 19thC Meiji Period. A lovely Japanese bronze figure of a peasant man. The figure stands on a little pedestal. It depicts a man, that is holding a staff and a machete knife and is carrying a basket over his shoulder. The bronze has a very nice dark brown patina.

It was made in Japan, around the late 19th century, around the Meiji period. Height: about 4 3/4 inch / 12 cm. Good antique condition, a few tiny/light scratches to the bronze patina, see the photos. Flower in the first picture is not included. We are based in France and offer a lot of European antique and vintage items. We insist on satisfying our customers with all the care we can offer!
