A wonderful Japanese Satsuma vase painted with beautiful butterflies. Unsigned, but a well-known "net and butterfly" pattern by Senzan. Japan, Meiji Period, circa 1890. In excellent condition with some signs of wear and some fading to the gilding. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. Measures 18 cm in height and 11 cm largest diameter.
