Antique Meiji Period Signed Japanese Elephant Cast Bronze Sculpture Figurine

Excellent condition and very detailed casting, signed on the bottom of one foot. Appears to be made of cast bronze but exact materials used are unknown, there are some light scratches on the bottom of the feet that reveal a brass tone. There is some surface patina, and very few minor light imperfections. The tusks are removable, they sit inside the hole and stay attached for display but are not glued. When you turn the figurine over to view signature, you can hear a small piece inside the elephant, it sounds hollow inside.

The size of the elephant is approx. 7" wide x 5" tall x 3. Last photo shows two charging elephants from same time period that are listed for sale separately.
