Description - A nice early Japanese bronze koro with a rich patina. Decorated with detailed relief birds and peacock on the sides, mask handles and tripod feet with figural foo dog finial on the cover. It is signed down inside the bottom of the interior as shown, we are unable to make out the mark.Age - Meiji Period circa 1868 - 1912. 14 inches tall by 9 + 1/2 inches across the handles and 6 + 7/8 inches across the base. Condition - Age appropriate, we find one small casing hole just above one of the feet, along with a small spot of greening on top of the base as shown. Please ask if additional photos are necessary.
