The vase has a beautifully patinated bronze surface with. Size: 36 cm high x 19 cm diameter (max).
Condition: It is quite difficult to spot from most angles but on close inspection the bird's legs are detached from their feet but the bird's tail is attached to the neck so everything is stable. This break was probably caused by the differential tension between the connection at the neck and the connections on the shoulder via the feet. There are no other faults. Please note that I have listed a further bronze vase naturalistically modeled with an emerging frog. The item "Beautiful Japanese Meiji period bronze vase cast with a bird" is in sale since Monday, December 9, 2019.
