Japanese Meiji Period Bronze Lotus Vase With Dragon Or Serpent Feet 11 1/2 Tall
On offer, we have an antique Japanese bronze vase. My antique dealer authenticates this as Japanese 18th century or circa 1900: Meiji Period.
This is a stylized lotus vase sitting on a dragon or serpent as feet. Sadly, I can find no markings. The piece is 11 1/2" tall and 14" wide at the feet.
The vase is 6 1/2" tall with a 10 3/4" X 9 top. This vase weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces. One foot has a repair that could be improved and that foot has 2 broken claws. The vase has a hole and possibly repairs. Inside, there are little screws with nuts that don't look old to me.
This is its original condition for you to polish, or not. Please view my photographs for more description. My friend who collects everything, is starting to part with a few of his treasures.
