Early 20th century Meiji Japanese Satsuma vase of hexagonal form bearing the Shimazu cartouche above a 4 character lozenge in gilt and red for Kizan. The vase colourfully hand decorated in enamel and gilt having 2 panels depicting geisha in an extensive mountainous river landscape and verso in a garden with pavilion within traditional flower and gilded borders.
Some minor wear to gilding as expected but in good overall condition with no obvious cracks or chips.
