A fine Japanese Meiji period silver box & cover; the top with a shibuichi finish onlaid with flowers and chiselled with a tree branch, leaves & a butterfly in flight. This beautiful box has a wood interior and is stamped pure silver on the underside with the artists mark on the lid, it has had a small restoration to the rim of the wood lid and light wear to the shibuichi cover otherwise it is in very good overall condition measuring 4 inches in length. 4cm x 10.5cm x 7.5cm.
