THIS LISTING IS FOR A GORGEOUS PAIR OF ANTIQUE JAPANESE ELABORATELY DECORATED BRONZE VASES FROM THE MEIJI PERIOD, c. EACH VASE FEATURES A LARGE MEDALLION DECORATED WITH LARGE FLYING BIRDS ON ONE SIDE AND SMALL BIRDS ON THE REVERSE WITH FLOWER AND BRANCH DECORATION. EACH VASE HAS THE SAME DESIGN BUT VARY SLIGHTLY. THE BIRDS STAND IN RELIEF FROM THE BODY OF THE VASE AND HAVE INTRICATE DETAILS AND NICE NATURALLY AGED PATINA. THE VASES ARE MARKED WITH AN UNIDENTIFIED JAPANESE SEAL MARK.

MEASURE 7 1/2" HIGH, 4 1/2" AT THE WIDEST PART WITH A TOP OPENING 3 3/4 IN DIAMETER. COMBINED WEIGHT IS JUST UNDER 4 POUNDS.
