Pair Japanese CLOISONNE Enamel on Bronze 7.25 Vases, Meiji Period, c. 1880

This listing is for a pair of gorgeous antique Japanese cloisonne enamel on bronze mirror image vases, Meiji Period, c. The vases are decorated with assorted designs with three decorative bands from the neck to the lower shoulder area with four shield shaped medallions around the center with alternating designs of stylized dragons and phoenix birds in the center of each. The background enamel of the phoenix is a creamy-white and the background of the dragons is a soft tan color. The neck and the lower body have a royal blue background. The interior and base of each vases is covered in a pale greenish-yellow enamel. Measure 7 1/4" high with a 1 3/4" diameter top and an overall width of 3 1/4.
Combined weight is 1.4 pounds. These nice vases are in very good to excellent Estate condition with no major issues.
One vase has two small faint flaws with one being a tiny white speck/nick below one dragon and the other being a faint glaze scratch on the phoenix medallion to the left of the white speck. The enamel interior and bases of both vases reflect firing hairlines and pitting. There are also some faint pits in the enamel of each vase as is common of cloisonne items from this period.
