A stunning pair of Antique Edo or Meiji period Japanese Shibuichi and Shakudo button studs inlaid with mixed metals of Gold Silver and Copper. Beautiful design with one depicting a Samurai warrior pinning notes on a bamboo wishing tree and the other showing an Okusan.
The skill involved in making these miniature pieces of art is quite astonishing and the pictures can never do justice to the detail. Extremely rare to find such good and original examples from this period. Each button measures approximately 2.5 cm across.
Allow slight differences in colour from the photographs and the actual item. Also please expect slight signs of wear and age as you would expect on an item approximately 150 years old. Please contact me for any queries or for any additional pictures.
