An exquisite pair of late 19th century, early Meiji period, fine quality porcelain matching jars with original lids. These fine porcelain examples are created with much detail and care, not the thick porcelain typical export quality but with exceptional application to process, featuring a vivid palette of traditional Imari colours, hand painted with a skilful hand and glaze, showing some kiln dust marks which give authentication, these are a super pair from the early Meiji empire period which have a historic antique interest as they do a decorative interest that can enhance a classic or contemporary space.
